Our Story

How it all started...

Our Savior Lutheran  Church was founded in 1927. What started out as a new thing in South Florida grew into not only a church with deep roots in the community but also a k-8 school that has made a Christian impact on thousands of people. Unfortunately, the school was closed in the early 2000s. However, we still love serving our community in many and various ways including partnering with our local Guatemalan Maya Center to provide a VPK and aftercare program for children in our community. In 2005 Hurricane Wilma decimated the building worship services were held. Thanks be to God there were other facilities on campus and in 2021 a newly renovated space, our 2-story building, was used as our new sanctuary.

Expanding the vision...

While the 2 story building is the home of our sanctuary we also house several other ministries on campus:
- Azheimer's Day Care
- Food Pantry
- Free Thrift Store
- Karate Dojo
- City Blessing
- Hatian Baptist
- Pr. Hernandez's Congregation
- Pr. Jesus' Congregation
- Saturday Night AA

We invite you to join us as we reach out in the name of Jesus and with a Christian heart to share the love of Christ in Lake Worth and South Florida.

Where we are headed...

Only the Lord knows what the future holds... And if he holds to what we have been experiencing in His name then it should be an exciting time. Our Savior Lutheran (OSL) is on a mission to strengthen the relationships people have with Jesus and with one another. Through the blessings and strength of the Holy Spirit, we will continue to reach into the community God has placed before us and continuity to see lives changed in a positive way.
